Please please pleeeeeease someone love me enough to give me this for Christmas!?!?!?!
PLEEEEAAASE!!!

Giggles

Today, I was supposed to go to a lecture about how to interview people, but I thought "Fuck that" and slept some more instead. After lunch I met up with Anna and Bea and went to a seminar held by the one and only, Felix. Somehow, someone (probably Bea ;P) started giggling, and for the next 2,5 hours all three of us giggled and laughed our way through the entire seminar. Fueled by facebook comments, freezing fingers, random quotes from Felix (the teacher) and my hat (apparently), we just couldn't stop. The whole class stared at us and we felt utterly silly, but we couldn't help it. It was just one of those days, I guess. To be fair, we did apologize after the seminar, both to our fellow students and Felix, so all's well that ends well.

Apparently Bea found the sight of me to be very entertaining. I was FREEZING! And, I mean, my hat is awesome and beautiful so...why not wear it indoors?!

After school I went to my cousins', and we laughed some more. A lot more. I'm almost fed up with laughing and giggling now. I hope tomorrow will be a calmer day. *tired*

One does not simply stop drinking coke

I haven't had any coke or any other fizzy drink today! Victory! (baby steps, they count too!)

Christmas 2011 - part 2

Also, check out the amazing eggcheese I made! Eggcheese (äggost in Swedish) is a dish from Bohuslän, a Swedish province just north of Gothenburg, and it is delicious.
This was the first time I made eggcheese, and oh my lord it was so gooooood!
I rock.

The Christmas tree was out in the conservatory, but we had to move all the presents inside due to some major issues with dampness. Water + wrapping paper = not a good combination. So we put the gifts nicely in a pile in the corner, and Dee counted them (there were some 100-ish gifts, fuck yes). It was glorious. The pink one in the front was for me. Duh.
Here are my gifts, unwrapped. Score.
The black, stripy thing is a onesie, which we had to return, since I (being a descendant of Vikings, naturally) was too tall for it. Sad face :(
Finally, the best picture of all the Christmas pictures, is this one. If you weren't there for this, there is no point in me trying to explain it to you. It was just that good.

This framed, little picture later disappeared. Very mysterious indeed...

Christmas 2011 - part 1

Since I sometimes am a bit...slow when it comes to updating the blog, I now give you pictures from (last) Christmas. I spent the holidays in England with my brother, father, stepmother, stepsisters and Emma (girlfriend of a stepsister), but I also had the most awesomely colourful and beautiful tree here in
Sweden. It truly is me in tree form.

Kitteh playing in her favourite kind of place - a bag.
She must seriously be one of the most easily entertained cats ever. Just give her a bag (preferably a plastic one that will make a lot of noise) and she will have fun for hours. You've gotta love that.
And glitter from the Christmas tree is also extremely fun, just so's you know.

The most beautiful tree ever, and Kitteh and Marley

I love the cupcake bauble! ^^

We had some unconventional guests in the tree. But they were cool.

Love love love!

You have to have mushroom baubles too, everyone knows that.
Come on, tell me it isn't fabulous!
You can't? I know, because it IS fabulous!

You also need glittery cones :)
Dee (stepsister) made a croquembouche (I managed to spell that, all on my own!) for Boxing day dinner (or rather Boxing day pudding). My father thought it looked like the Sorting Hat from Harry Potter. And it did, it really did. But with glitter on it ^^ (And really, we all know that the real Sorting Hat would look SO much better with glitter on it. Don't lie, you know it's true.) Anyway, the pudding was delicious! After eating it, somebody wondered out loud if we would get sparkly poo from eating glitter. Julie (stepmother) suggested we all check the next day. Now, I don't mean to accuse the rest of us of being negligent, but I was in fact the only one who bothered to check. And I can tell you that yes, you will get sparkly poo from eating glitter. Just so's you know.

Emma knows that the proper way to endure family dinners is to drink. Alcohol. Lots of it. Judging by the picture, you can probably tell that we did drink lots of it. The entire day. Skål!
The not-so-pink-but-still-fabulous Christmas tree, decorated by none other than me!
Sadly, most of the baubles and stuff had gone missing, so I had limited resources to work with, but I think I did a pretty good job considering.
Julie was mighty proud of her bunting that she had made and hung up in the conservatory. Robert (brother) and I fixed up the garlands with lights and baubles and prettiness.
Getting ready to feast on the glittery pudding! Emma was feeling mighty happy about something. :)
Dee, on the other hand, looked more...shall we say...hesitant.
I will let you enjoy this not-very-flattering picture (LA looks good though, as usual) of us. Keep in mind that we had been drinking. Alcohol. A lot of it. All day. Yes.
Emma, Dee and John were enjoying themselves. Truly. Take no heed of Emma's somewhat doubtful look. She did have fun. I promise!
Naaw. Lovely :)

Kitteh

For those of you who do not know, I live with one of my best friends and her fiancé.
And also, their dog Marley and their cat Kitteh. Or Smokey, which is her real name, but nobody gives a damn. We just call her "Kitteh! :D"

Kitteh is, like many cats, fond of cuddling. And I love to cuddle more than anyone.
But maybe not while on the toilet...?

I dunno, call me crazy, but I actually believe there are times to cuddle, and then there are other times...times where cuddling perhaps isn't really the best choice of activity.

(And yes, I did take pictures of myself while on the toilet. Deal with it.)

Shopping

After waving (not so much waving as other things) bye-bye to A today, I went shopping with my cousins S & E. I bought these amazing Star Wars-themed mint tin thingies that I have wanted (craved!!!) for quite some time, and I bought them for half price = 18 SEK (if you don't know how much/little 18 SEK is, I don't care. Bugger off.). When I have eaten all the mints I am going to put string on them and use them as Christmas decorations in my pink, fabulous tree! ^^
Oh my, that reminds me, I haven't put up any Christmas pictures yet...I have to do something about that.

I also bought the most AMAZINGLY orange sweatpants one could dream of.
Sadly, the picture, with its bad lighting, does not at all give the pants justice.
They are, as I said, AMAZINGLY orange. Truly. I kid you not.

I fucking love them.

Mug shots

Just because my mug is cooler than any you have, and you know it, and you also know you want it.
Booyah.

Do I sense a pattern?

This has kind of been my life recently...

Norway 24/10 - 28/10 (2011)

So yeah...maybe I should write about the trip to Norway also...Ok then.
Well, after another weekend in Borås (and also an STS reunion party with my cute kiddies!) I yet again got up too early (blaahh!) to take the bus to school and get on another bus to Oslo. If I remember correctly I slept for the most part of the journey, but I was awake to say hello to Dingle as we passed on the freeway ^^
We arrived in Oslo and Voksenåsen (the place where we stayed) at lunch time. It was extremely foggy the whole week, which was a shame, since Voksenåsen is situated on a mountain above Oslo, overlooking the whole town and surrounding area. We sighed a little, and then got on with our day, consisting of a lecture or the other and dinner. The second day we took a roundtrip by bus to and in Oslo, which was great fun. Our Norwegian guide was wonderful and fun was had all around. We started the tour halfway down the mountain, at Holmenkollbakken and Holmenkollen's skiing museum. It might look a bit boring at first glance, but with a good enough guide anything can be fun.

This is the very tall structure the ski jumpers go up in (by elevator) and then ski down.
A number of big events, like the Olympic winter games and some world championship or the other have been held here. Apparently people give a lot of crap about this, but I don't.

I was told the guide tried to explain and show exactly how you ski jump, but I was busy looking at something else, or freezing or something, so I didn't actually hear what she said. Oh well.

You can glimpse Oslo and the surrounding landscape through the mist.

Some glass castle thingy inside the museum. Pretty.

After Holmenkollbakken we went into Oslo and to Vigelandsparken, or Frognerparken as it is actually called. There you can look at a buttload of statues designed by Gustav Vigeland. Apart from the cold (I wore a thin jacket, silly me) I really enjoyed the park and the statues.
The statues are supposed to represent the various stages of a human being's life.
It is well worth a visit, I think.

Nice autumnal Oslo.

After the park we went to Vikingskipshuset, a viking ship museum. It was awesome. The only bad part is that we didn't have much time to walk around and look at the ships and all the artefacts found in the ships. But at least I managed to take some pictures.

Adam and Bea enjoyed it too :)

Lastly, we went to Oslo rådhus, the city hall, and looked around for a bit. Again, we were pressed on time so we only checked out Rådhushallen, the room in which the Nobel peace prize ceremony takes place.

After the tour, some of my fellow classmates and I decided to go to the Much musem, to see "Skrik" of course. Unfortunately, we were disappointed since the painting had been borrowed by another museum. Sad faces :(
They had these nice-looking pieces of cheesecake, or ostekake in Norwegian, but since I had no money it was too expensive for me (it still would've been too expensive, even if I had money, because Norway is crazy expensive!)

So instead of eating cheesecake and looking at "Skrik" we went wandering about Oslo. We found a second hand shop and the boys felt very deep and serious in some less-than-pretty jackets.

Maria couldn't find anything she really liked...

...but Rebecca saw something she liked: ME! ;)

The view from our room one evening. Yeah...foggy.

I found this amazing lamp that I absolutely want to own. Give it to me?!

We also went to Nationaltheatret to see Hedda Gabler. Fun was had by all. No, wait, fun was had by none. Silly Norwegians talking Norwegian and talking it too fast. Silly silly.

The view from the restaurant the last morning. Yeah...like I said, somewhat foggy.

Well, apart from the fog I had a lot of fun and feel much more secure with the Norwegian language now. I've been to Norway a couple of times before and will definitely try to go back again. (Especially if it suddenly becomes cheaper, because OH MY GOD YOU HAVE TO BE RICH TO BE ABLE TO BUY ANYTHING IN NORWAY.)

But remember - Ut på tur, aldri sur!
